I haven't been active on this site for a LONG time. I just haven't been into art for years. I do some simple drawings once in a while, but art has received not much of my attention. However, I think that might change. I'm taking a 3D Art Class this year in school. It's been getting me interested in art again. You see, I want to make video games. I want to be the Game Producer of a small indie team, that I'd like to grow if I become successful. I've been mostly focusing on the universes and stories and characters and learning how to program, but I want a wide pool of knowledge so I can help all the departments. One of those is art. So I've been using a sketchbook and trying to improve my art. I still have a long way to go, but I think I'm improving. I haven't been transferring any into any digital programs or anything. I've just been sketching and coloring. So if I put up anything, it's probably going to be simple test drawings at the moment. But it'll give you a sense of what I'm working on and what I aim for. Like before, I'm trying to have 2 main art styles. One was originally like anime, but now I'm going for more of a manga approach, emphasizing expressiveness in the eyes, volume, and body language. The other is a more realistic, comic book style, which I haven't actually even worked on, but I plan to later on. I've realized that the only way my art will improve is if I draw a lot. And that's what I'm going to try to do. I can't promise I'll post actively on this site. But you should probably see some snippets on what I'm working on every once in a while. Hope you enjoy it.

UPDATE: The previous version of this journal entry went on about how I was giving up on Fakemon. Well, I gave up on that idea pretty quickly. It struck me. Why not try to test my artistic ability with my Fakemon? I realized it's not as big a time-waster as I had originally made it out to be. It's good practice. So I'm planning on moving pretty much all of my old deviations to a folder and starting fresh. I'm going to redesign my old designs. And they're going to look better than ever. Most of the designs will be scanned instead of photographed, and if I have time I'll try to touch some of them up digitally. They will be much higher quality than they were before. I'm not going to be doing all-out Fakemon all the time, though. I just thought I'd let you know that I might be interested in reviving some of my old ideas as artistic practice. Also, I'm not going to be giving as much thought about regions and routes and dexing and whatnot as I used to. I'll probably have starters, some legendaries, and some special Fakemon, but the majority of my Fakemon art will just be coming up with cool designs and posting them. Hope you enjoy! Oh and Pony art may come, though it's doubtful.
